NDP Showcase

State Wars Hockey is very excited to announce a new partnership and venture with the USA Inline National Development Program (NDP) & Roller Hockey Canada. Our combined goal is to help identify and develop players of potential world class ability and prepare them for international competition. 

As shown in the map below, the United States is divided into West, Central, and East regions. Players who are playing at State Wars may be selected to represent one of these regions in this showcase and recognized as some of the top players their age in the country.

Players selected in the United States will not only play in the showcase and represent Team USA there but will now enter the USA Inline National Development Program pipeline and be given a chance to represent Team USA in future events.

SELECTION COMMITTEE STRUCTURE:

• Provincial representatives from Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia (potentially British Columbia and Manitoba).

• Delegates chosen based on provincial team participation (e.g., Nova Scotia gets 1, Alberta gets 2, Ontario gets 3).

• Roller Hockey Canada oversees final team selection.

HOW ARE PLAYERS SELECTED TO PLAY?

Players chosen for Team World (in the older birth year of the division) the prior summer at State Wars will be given invites first to play in the NDP Showcase. All remaining roster spots will be selected based on performance at last years State Wars and from talking to our coaches/scouts in the regions.

Players selected will be emailed an invite to play.

DIVISIONS OFFERED IN SHOWCASE?

Teams will be selected in the 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u and 16u divisions.

All ages are based on 2025 age divisions with female players receiving 1 extra year.

ROSTERS SELECTED FOR SHOWCASE?

There will 3 USA teams selected per division (Team USA East, Team USA West and Team USA Central) and 1 Canadian team per division.

In most situations the birth year on the older end of the division will be selected first. Example: 10u is a 2015/2014 division, players born in 2014 will be the focus in most cases, the following year 2015s would then become the prime birth year for the division.

WHEN WILL GAMES BE PLAYED AT STATE WARS?

All showcases games will be played at State Wars.

Each team will play at least 3 games and top 2 teams will go to a Championship Game.

All games will be played in TWO day, and will start the day after their division ends at State Wars.

Showcase will play : 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u
