In 2012, State Wars Hockey held its largest, most competitive and overall best event to date. 280 state/provincial teams visited the St.Peters Rec Plex in St.Peters, Missouri. Of the 280 teams competing, 200 of them were youth teams, the youngest being the 2004 division. The new Juggernaut Division was introduced this year to showcase players in the 1993 and 1992 birth years. The Ohio Wheelin' Beauties shocked many taking home the first title in this division. The Elite AAA Division continued to get stronger and the crowds at each of these games was massive, especially when a home town Missouri team was playing. The Missouri Meltdown was stacked with loads of talent and defeated the California Mission Bauer team for all the bragging rights and the $10,000 purse. This event also saw the introduction of the Senior A division, as 11 teams competed. It was also great to see Nebraska return with teams to State Wars and for the first time Kansas was represented at the event in many age categories.
